The Denver Broncos have announced that they have waived seven players and have released one player to get their roster down to 82 players. They must eventually trim their roster down to 80 players so there are two more roster moves coming.
We've made a series of roster moves.

Here are the seven players waived by the Broncos.
- DB Kahani Smith (Roster Review)
- QB Riley Neal (Roster Review)
- LB Tre’ Crawford (Roster Review)
- WR Kelvin McKnight (Roster Review)
- RB Khalfani Muhammad (Roster Review)
- DB Shakial Taylor (Roster Review)
- C Nico Falah (Roster Review)
The one player out-right released is veteran defensive end, Joel Heath.
Unfortunately for these players, they never had a shot to make the Broncos roster in 2020 because of Covid-19 interrupting the normal routine of an offseason. Under the new guidelines, teams must have their rosters down to 80 players so unfortunate cuts are happening league wide.
The reality is that these guys were likely never making the roster regardless, but it sucks that they never had an opportunity to showcase their talents for the Broncos coaches and the rest of the league during the preseason.
Two more roster moves are coming eventually in what will be one of the strangest training camps in quite sometime.
