Some good news for Denver Broncos fans today. During head coach Vic Fangio’s press conference on Tuesday, he revealed that Bradley Chubb is healthy enough to start training camp. He will not begin on the PUP list.
Chubb tore his ACL last September and missed the rest of the 2019 season. The Broncos 2018 first round pick will be a vital piece of their defense this season, so its good that he’ll be back for the limited training camp teams will have this year.
When Chubb went down in Week 4 last season, the Broncos struggled to free up Von Miller from the double and triple teams that were schemed his way. No other players were able to step up and fill that pass rush void. Chubb, who had 12 sacks as a rookie, is the perfect complement to Miller’s speed rush. With the addition of Jurrell Casey inside, the Broncos have the potential for a fearsome pass rush in 2020 and Chubb is a critical piece of that.
