After a day off, the Denver Broncos return to training camp for Day 2. On Friday, both rookie wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler turned some heads and will look to continue that here on Sunday. Another notable performance in practice came from Bryce Callahan who picked off Drew Lock and was otherwise solid all around.
As these days progress, we’ll start getting some information from the trenches as well. The biggest news so far is that Austin Schlottmann is handling the duties at center for the first team offense.
When asked about Schlottmann and also tackle Jake Rodgers, Head Coach Vic Fangio had this to say on Friday, “Both guys got playing time at the end of the season last year—Austin more than Jake, but Jake did get his chance to play in the last two games. Both did well. I think the both have had good offseasons as much as you can under the circumstances. I see improvement in both of them. They’re in the hunt both for starting jobs and making the team.”
While we could still see rookie center Lloyd Cushenberry enter the discussion in the coming weeks, Schlottmann has the system down from Mike Munchak and has the leg up here early in camp.
Anyway, stay tuned here for live updates from Day 2 of Broncos Camp.

Broncos Day 2 camp highlights
Seeing @AJBOUYE21 in person, he does bring length to position. He is lanky. And that 29 is Callahan. And he’s moving well which is a big deal for this defense #Denver7 #Broncos pic.twitter.com/r45F3dsGJe

I like the way Bradley Chubb looks turning and working in space during warmup coverage drill. Turns smoothly, doesn't seem to be thinking about his knee. Looks natural. #BroncosCamp @1043TheFan

Was near Lock in a hurry, but the QB completed a pass to Courtland Sutton.
Evident early that Jerry Jeudy is getting more reps with the first-team offense than he did Friday.

Broncos DL coach Bill Kollar not at practice today. Personal deal. Expected back at facility soon. Vic Fangio has been coaching the D-line today — along with rest of team of course. #9sports

Not Sutton's best practice. Three balls already hit his hands and then the ground.

Driskel just threw a couple deep-ball beauties, but his receivers — first KJ Hamler, then DeSean Hamilton — weren't able to hold onto either one. Hamilton's was a drop in the end zone that Driskel placed right in his hands, though he was well-covered. (This is in 7-on-7.)

11 on 11: Way late outside throw by Driskel. Bausby with pick. Defense already throwing some blotzes. #9sports

Phillip Lindsay hasn't let a pass hit the ground. Even caught an out of reach pass on a wheel route. Stretched out to get it. Looking good as a receiver. #BroncosCamp @1043TheFan
