The Denver Broncos had the intensity ratcheted up a notch on Monday as players donned pads for the first time this season. Training Camp this season is short and sweet, so there is no gradual work up through camp.
The offense looked crisp yesterday after the defense had the better days early on. They have a lot to work on still as they learn a new system under Pat Shurmur, while also working on building chemistry among all of the young players on that side of the ball. Week 1 is rapidly approaching too.
Here are all of your Day 4 updates from Broncos Camp.

Well hello #Broncos camp Day 4. Coach Fangio is in great shape. Lost weight and getting steps in before practice. #Denver7 pic.twitter.com/yN3x20nT17

My guys @redwardsradio and @AllbrightNFL say they think the #Broncos should look to value pickups in trades/waivers if anything, but noted also safety and OL as areas to maybe specifically look at.#Broncos fans, follow these guys!

All Broncos are accounted for at Day 4 of training camp except TE Austin Fort, who remains out with a knee injury.

WR Juwann Winfree going through the stretch period with the team after working on a side field the last two days.
For those asking, #Broncos @DrewLock23 is still wearing visor on helmet. Several players experimenting with it. Only 6 have tried the mask inside the face mask. It’s gaining zero traction. #Denver7

All the feels. @jeffdriskel’s family surprised him on our virtual fan cam this morning! pic.twitter.com/VLCfCOHC7c

Austin Schlottman gets another day as starting Center. Offensive line has overall functioned better with him in there vs with Morris. #Broncos @KOAColorado

Von and Chubb with heavy, immediate pressure on Lock, who may have escaped (can’t tell with touch rule on QBs). #9sports

Jeudy against the twos continues to be not fair.

Jake Butt with a heckuva diving catch from Rypien during 7-on-7. Caught the ball with his finger tips while stretched out
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 18, 2020
Lock can’t find Sutton on deep pass.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 18, 2020
Yiadom with pretty good coverage.
Back-to-back plays during 7-on-7 showcasing the #Broncos added speed. Granted it was 2nd team defense, but Jeudy and Hamler both leaving their respective DBs in the dust. Impressive. #Broncos @KOAColorado

Courtland goes down low to snag a Lock throw. Don’t want to always take the big guys for granted. #9sports

Jeff Driskel ball placement continues to be erratic.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) August 18, 2020
He'll make 2 or 3 throws that wow you, and then follow with 2 or 3 that wow you the other way.
A nice back-shoulder catch from Tyrie Cleveland. The seventh-round rookie has had some nice moments.
— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) August 18, 2020
Bausby picks off Driskel. That’s De’Vante’s 2nd INT of camp but almost had another yesterday. He’s been the most consistent CB outside of Bouye/Callahan. Leader in the clubhouse for 3rd corner. #Broncos @KOAColorado

Protection problems for the Broncos rearing their head off the edge in 11s
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) August 18, 2020
Von Miller continues to absolutely dominate.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 18, 2020
Pass rush as a whole has been tremendous today. Lock hasn’t had any time to throw.
"And then, they said we weren't the best pass-rush duo in the NFL." pic.twitter.com/00IzInXYxh
— Denver Broncos (@Broncos) August 18, 2020
Broncos’ front seven had an INCREDIBLE series. In three pass plays, there were three sack, including an actual strip-sack and another likely strip-sack.

First red-zone work of camp.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 18, 2020
Lock lofts one to Gordon in the corner of the end zone.
Defense arguing it’s incomplete, offense positive it’s a score.
Nice attempt by Gordon either way.
Drew Lock with a perfect touch pass to Melvin Gordon for a touchdown. Alexander Johnson had perfect coverage, but an even better pass. Dropped the ball right over Melvin’s shoulder. In front right corner of endzone.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 18, 2020
Drew Lock had a great throw to Courtland Sutton in back of endzone. Great job by Sutton to get toes down. Would have never happened though as Lock would have been sacked before the pass.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 18, 2020
Not supposed to comment on personnel groupings, but Sutton, Patrick and Jeudy look like the most viable fantasy WRs for the Broncos if that's your thing...
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) August 18, 2020
It’s very clear Von Miller’s new mentality this year is translating to the field. He’s DOMINATED practice today.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 18, 2020
Holder INT on Driskell. Albert O fell down but there is no denying the defense has dominated today’s practice. #Broncos @KOAColorado
— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) August 18, 2020
Frustrating day for Broncos offense in practice.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) August 18, 2020
Defense wins the day.
Drew Lock tried to fit in a short dart on a crossing route, Justin Simmons tipped the ball and A.J. Bouye picked it. Unsure if he got his body inbounds.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 18, 2020
Albert O. seems to be a favorite target down in the red zone.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 18, 2020
I count three TD grabs for him.
