Even with all the excitement of the upcoming season getting fired up by news of training camp action, video of great plays by our new young core, and the hype machine of the local media talking up bubble players (I see you Jake Butt and Isaac Yiadom), one thing never changes. The Chargers and Raiders are going to push the chefs while the Broncos are going to tank.

At what point are we going to join reality? Yes, it can be a fine line that separates mediocre from suck. Sure, the Broncos were only 7-9. But so were the Raiders...and at what point in the past couple decades have they really contended for anything?

And the Chargers? This is the time of the year where their roster loses 30% of its starters. Give me a break already.

Let’s just say I’ll take the over with SI’s latest projection on the Broncos hopes for 2020.
