2020 has been a unique year for the NFL. With COVID-19, everyone has had to adjust to that new reality. The Denver Broncos were no different. On Monday, Head Coach Vic Fangio talked about how he has changed his approach to teaching this offseason.
“At first—comparing this to the lockout year which that year we were a totally new staff where I was,” Fangio said. “We hadn’t even met our players until training camp, but we had a normal training camp with preseason games and the length. We put a lot in because we wanted to expose our players to it in case we needed it and also it was a way for us to learn our players. I think along the same lines here we don’t want to not put something in that we think is valuable, although it might be cumbersome to learn in the short amount of time that we do have available. I do think because the camp is shorter with no preseason games that we’re going to have to find the mid-ground there between what I explained with the lockout year and this year. Yes, we’re going to have to be able to execute what we do which may mean we cut back, but we also I think have to push the envelope and if we feel something’s important to have schematically that we’re able to do it.”
Coaching is going to be a huge factor for every team early this season. The Broncos are trying to meld together a young offense under a new system, so the going is likely going to be rough. However, having the amount of experience they have from their coaching staff they might be able to bring it all together relatively early in the season rather than late.
Let’s get on with the live updates from Day 10 of Broncos camp.

Will be interesting to see if they participate in 11-on-11 work or if the Broncos hold them back a bit.
Did team drills yesterday, but Denver wasn’t in pads.

At least three drops, a false start, several off-target throws, a pass batted down at the line.
Interested to see how they respond.
One of Lock's best dimes of camp. Threaded it to the sideline to hit Jeudy on a deep out route. The rookie WR makes the grab despite tight coverage from Callahan and then tip-toes the sideline.— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) August 25, 2020

If Jake Butt is really, truly healthy, he’s potentially a major asset to the #Broncos, who likely (and understandably, if so) planned to move on from him prior to the season. Remember that he was the Mackey Award winner at @UMichFootball. https://t.co/mHcFh8737L— Shawn Drotar (@sdrotar) August 25, 2020
