The Denver Broncos’ players and coaches held a team meeting at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday to discuss developments in recent days following the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
As the meeting went on, it became apparent that players would ultimately take the stand with other pro athletes against social injustice by cancelling practice.

In recent days, athletes around the sports world have used their platform to push for racial justice in America.
This decision to cancel practice comes following an unprecedented walkout by NBA players from their playoff games last night.
LeBron James led the way in a furious tweet over yet another shooting. The Milkwaukee Bucks refused to play, which spurred decisions around the NBA doing the same on Wednesday. Several Major League Baseball teams also joined in by postponing their games. The NBA playoffs will reportedly resume on Friday after players and owners came to an agreement to move forward.
The Broncos join several other NFL teams that have cancelled or postponed practices today.
The Broncos are not practicing today.
