The Denver Broncos will move training camp to Empower Field at Mile High for Day 12. In the hopes of getting the team in a gameday type atmosphere - albeit without fans - is one of the things Head Coach Vic Fangio wanted to see before Week 1.
The team announced several ways they plan to bring Saturday’s stadium practice to the fans. Since we can’t be there, they are at least trying to do the next best thing.
Denver Broncos media partners 9NEWS and KOA NewsRadio will air the team’s Training Camp Powered by Ford – Stadium Edition practice taking place on Saturday at Empower Field at Mile High.
9NEWS will broadcast the day’s action and highlights on KTVD-20 (Comcast Channel 5 and Xfinity Channel 657) from 7-9 p.m. Chad Brown and Rod Mackey will provide analysis of the team’s first visit to Empower Field at Mile High in 2020 while Broncos Insider Mike Klis provides updates and interviews Head Coach Vic Fangio and Broncos players.
On KOA NewsRadio (850 AM / 94.1 FM), the Broncos’ radio broadcast team of Dave Logan, Rick Lewis and Susie Wargin will be joined by Team Insider Brandon Krisztal to provide live coverage of the practice beginning at 3:15 p.m. The programming, which will include interviews with Broncos personnel, immediately follows a re-broadcast of the club’s 2015 AFC Divisional playoff victory against the Steelers.
We’ll also get the live coverage from Twitter here into this post, so here are all your live updates from Day 12 of Broncos camp.

Drew Lock with a strike to Courtland Sutton in the middle of the field. Sutton hauls in a high pass for a gain of 9. Good catch by Sutton.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020
Von Miller with a would-be sack on Drew Lock coming from the right side. His bend is so hard to defend.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020

Justin Simmons picks off Drew Lock. Drew thought Noah Fant was going to turn one way and he turned another. Easy pick for Simmons.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020
Defense is getting the better of the offense in this scrimmage.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) August 29, 2020
Fant stopped on his route, Lock thought he was still going. Simmons picks it.
On 3rd-and-5, Drew Lock hits Jerry Jeudy, who makes a bobbling catch, for 15 yards and a first down. Good coverage by Callahan, better catch.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020
Drew Lock off with Courtland Sutton on the left side. Looks like they were off on timing/route.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020

— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 29, 2020
Secondary has been sharp today.
#Broncos first string O, understandably going through growing pains. @jsimms1119 picked Lock. Looked like miscommunication w Fant. Lock follows on restart with 31-yard juggling catch by Jeudy. #Denver7

Drew Lock is coming back in with the first-team offense.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 29, 2020
Everyone can breathe.
Miller again in the backfield in an instant. Would've gotten Lock.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) August 29, 2020
Believe Shelby Harris may have tipped the pass too. Incomplete and the Broncos settle for a FG during red-zone work.
Von Miller has been wearing Elijah Wilkinson out today.
— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) August 29, 2020
Back-to-back drives for the Broncos’ first-team offense starting at their opponents 13-yard line and the offense isn’t able to get a first down (or touchdown) either drive.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020
Settled for FGs both times.
#Broncos @thekidmcmanus continues his strong camp by booting 60-yard FG. He will be needed early as offense takes time to find traction. Key is running the ball, taking pressure off OLine in pass game. Timing is work in progress in pass game. #Denver7
— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) August 29, 2020
Another rough series for Broncos offense, which does mean good series for defense.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) August 29, 2020
