The Denver Broncos have activated right tackle Elijah Wilkinson off the Physically Unable to Perform List and rookie guard Netane Muti off the Non-Football Injury list.
Broncos announced they have activated RT Elijah Wilkinson from the PUP and G Netane Muti from non-football injury list. These moves should put Broncos' roster at 80. They replace Ja'Wuan James (opt out) and TE Jeff Heuerman (release). #9sports

After the news of Ja’Wuan James opting out of the 2020 NFL season, the right tackle job instantly became Elijah Wilkinson’s job to lose. He has experience at both left and right tackle as well as guard in the past and can at least be serviceable at the position for the Broncos. So look for him to likely be the guy at right tackle for the Broncos come week one versus the Titans.
WIlkinson is recovering from offseason foot surgery which was just a “minor cleanup” according to him. So, hopefully he’ll be able to be at or close to 100% soon during this strange 2020 Training Camp process.
Rookie guard Netane Muti has first or second round potential, but fell into the sixth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft because of his injury issues. He suffered consecutive season ended injuries while at Fresno State. He had a ruptured achilles in 2018 and suffered a Lisfranc injury in 2019 which also ended his season. However, when healthy, he’s a damn good lineman. So, if he is able to stay healthy, he can give the Broncos solid depth at the interior offensive line position and be a potential starter sooner rather than later.
So, we have our likely starting right tackle now healthy and an intriguing rookie interior offensive lineman healthy as well. With health in general being mostly bad news these days, but some good news is always welcomed these days.
