The roller coaster that is the Denver Broncos game week has started to ascend again.
Since it’s 2020, of course it’s a roller coaster.
First came the excitement from the fact it was actually Broncos game week. Denver is set to start the mysterious 2020 season and try to get the over of 7.5 wins.
Then comes the Von Miller injury news that made just about everyone on the ride sick. The edge rusher is likely out for the season because of a freak injury. After a few days, some in Broncos Country had moved ahead in the grieving process to acceptance. So they sat back and took a deep breath. The roller coaster seemed to calm down, even if just a little.
Then comes the Courtland Sutton injury. You could hear the proverbial “really?” The ride was causing nausea again. Thankfully it wasn’t as severe as it could have been and the Broncos receiver is day-to-day (limited).
And all of this before Denver opens the season against the Tennessee Titans.
On Friday’s Broncos Country Tonight, MHR’s Adam Malnati joined Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright to talk about the wild week and what he expects from the Monday Night Football opener. They also touch on what Adam wants to see from the Broncos offense — win or lose.
We knew we were in for a wild season, but to have this kind of ride before it even starts is so 2020.
