Is the Broncos’ tight end position a help or hindrance?

The Broncos have a pretty full TE room...will it cause problems or help right the offense?

NFL: Denver Broncos-Training Camp Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

One of the more interesting threads that I keep seeing coming out of the Broncos’ training camp is how often Albert Okwuegunam makes plays in the red zone. And being the arm chair kind fan that I am, I can’t help but wonder what that means to Noah Fant.

My eyes tell me Fant looked like the real deal last season...definitely still in need of polish, but all the raw ability was there to have a very potent weapon at Tight End for the first time in years.

Putting myself in his shoes, it would bug me a bit to have the Broncos draft Lock’s former college team mate and see him get a high percentage of red zone snaps. That’s taking away from his opportunities both in practice to get better and very likely in real games which take away from his ability to earn more money in the long run.

At the end of the day, having two play making tight ends is a great problem to have. Also, it is only training camp. What we hear may not be what we see in week one. That being said, what are your thoughts about the tight end group? Are they in a good spot? Am I reading things into the situation that aren’t there? Hit us up in the comments and let us know your thoughts.
