I’m supposed to write a brief recap of the Denver Broncos loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I’m supposed to have some fancy insight here. Or I should say something about how that game looked more like a soccer game with all the kicking.
But I just don’t want to.
I love the Denver Broncos. So do you. That’s why we are here. And now, I am just angry. When Ian St. Clair and I sit down after games to record, we could probably just copy and paste a show from almost any of our postgame recaps from the last 5 years.
That’s right, 5 years. Sure, the names would be different, but not the outcome. The frustration is the same, too.
So, I don’t have any special breakdown here. There were some bright spots. Shelby Harris was a stud for the Broncos. His two sacks were great, but like I told Ian, watching Harris makes me think about Jurrell Casey. Was he even on the field. Right now it is looking like the Titans are the winners of that trade.
Tim Patrick had a nice day. Jerry Jeudy looked better than he has all season. But Noah Fant struggled to catch the ball. Five catches on nine targets with some drops makes it a real mixed bag for him.
I won’t even get into the continued rotation at the QB position, as the rotation will likely continue against the Jets on Thursday Night Football.
After three weeks, the Broncos season looks over before it really got started. Still, with an entire season of football ahead of us, and the Jets could be the remedy this team needs to jumpstart the season.
