We’re thankful for football, but really hating the injuries that are piling up

Injuries continue to mount showing how important normal offseason activities are in today’s NFL

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The story line of this NFL season so far to me is the number of serious injuries we’re seeing across the league. Today we get the news that fan favorite Chris Harris, Jr. with the Chargers is being put on IR one day after we heard about our own Jurrell Casey.

This leads me to ponder, just how much will this year’s championship mean in the grand scheme of things? For Broncos fans, I don’t think we were ever necessarily going to compete, but will we be able to give our best shot to any team we face without the likes of Von Miller, Drew Lock, Courtland Sutton, Jurrell Casey and the rest of the list of players on IR as it stands today?
