The Denver Broncos will conclude their 2020 training camp with a Friday night stadium practice session. The deadline for the final 53-man roster is 2:00 PM on Saturday, so this will be the last time players can make their case for the roster.
Head Coach Vic Fangio has ruled out several players for this practice session.
“[Andrew] Beck, Albert ‘O’ (Okwuegbunam), [Bradley] Chubb, [Troy] Fumagalli, [Graham] Glasgow, and [Austin] Fort obviously—I think those are the only ones for sure.”
Let’s get to the live updates from Day 17 of Broncos camp from Empower Field at Mile High.

Welcome to @EmpowerField. #Broncos practice tonight. We can send tweets about pre workout, but not during the practice. This is important rehearsal for Monday night opener va #Titans. #Denver7 pic.twitter.com/turFVrweUy

KJ Hamler (hamstring), Troy Fumagalli (abdomen) and Albert Okwuegbunam (hip) among those not practicing tonight at @EmpowerField at Mile High.

I like seeing Levante Bellamy around Phillip Lindsay. The UDFA rookie reminded me of Lindsay on film and when I watched him during the week of practice at @ShrineBowl talented RB just soaking up knowledge and impressing at #BroncosCamp @1043TheFan
— Cecil Lammey (@CecilLammey) September 5, 2020
Andrew Beck (back) is also out, as HC Vic Fangio said yesterday.
— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) September 5, 2020
Small tight end group with just Noah Fant, Nick Vannett and Jake Butt practicing tonight.
Juwann Winfree looks like he’s ready for a full practice. #9sports
— Mike Klis (@MikeKlis) September 5, 2020
Melvin Gordon out here for final practice of #BroncosCamp -- once again Phillip Lindsay has changed #Broncos plans at RB. This has looks of 50/50 split and perhaps even "hot hand" approach @1043TheFan
— Cecil Lammey (@CecilLammey) September 5, 2020
Injuries have taken a bite out of the tight-end corps for tonight. No Andrew Beck, Troy Fumagalli or Albert Okwuebugnam. pic.twitter.com/tEXLxOdgDb
— Andrew Mason (@MaseDenver) September 5, 2020
#Broncos @JakeButtTE , @nrfant, Vannett getting work done. Butt, for me, will make team, completing one hell of a comeback from his third ACL surgery. No @AOkwuegbunam (hip), or Fumagalli (abdomen) practicing tonight. #Denver7 pic.twitter.com/KICByUqS01

Well hello @I_CU_boy. And of course #Broncos defense. @astronaut is on field with team, but not practicing. No sleeve on knee. Everything I am told is that he will be able to play Vs Titans, though play count likely #Denver7 pic.twitter.com/w8ZXHCfWbB

Offense much more crisp in this scrimmage.
— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) September 5, 2020
Revenge of the offense! #Broncos O drives down the field for opening score. Much more efficient than I've seen recently. They're doing what works with mix of run pass and big play strikes. @1043TheFan
— Cecil Lammey (@CecilLammey) September 5, 2020
Quick takeaways:
— Vic Lombardiᴰʳ (@VicLombardi) September 5, 2020
-Vic Fangio on the field playing ref, throwing flags.
-Sam Martin is a damn good directional punter.
-It tackling is suddenly disallowed, the @Broncos will have a top-3 offense.
-Jurrell Casey is the size of a Food Truck.
Throwing this out there..if the #Broncos defense starts the season a bit flat we might look back at the release of Todd Davis as a reason why. Much like the release of TJ Ward right before the 2017 season, it didn’t resonate well with the players. Davis, like Ward, was well liked
— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) September 5, 2020
Man, Drew Lock can really throw on the run. Seems more comfortable on the run. Last @Broncos quarterback who looked this comfortable rolling from the pocket - @snakestakes
— Vic Lombardiᴰʳ (@VicLombardi) September 5, 2020
Tyrie Cleveland long touchdown at the #Broncos practice. Greeted at the sideline by a host of his teammates. Didn't see the play but the broadcast crew said he was wide open.
— Sayre Bedinger (@SayreBedinger) September 5, 2020
Brent Rypien deep sideline TD toss to Tyrie Cleveland. Wiiiide open. Sorta like that Stars rookie who scored the 4-4 goal. And am I the only one who got sick and tired of seeing Radulov’s face?
— Vic Lombardiᴰʳ (@VicLombardi) September 5, 2020
Rookie corner Michael Ojemudia looks fully healthy again. He’s running stride for stride with these burner @Broncos receivers.
