The Denver Broncos have reportedly waived undrafted rookie running baack LeVante Bellamy. He will be a strong candidate for the practice squad after having a really good training camp in Denver.
He came into the league having led the nation in touchdowns at Western Michigan. He finished his season with 1,472 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is a smaller back who could find a role using his speed.
With the Broncos waiving De’Vante Bausby, I was certain that meant Alijah Holder was going to secure a backup cornerback spot.
“It’s going to be one guy at a time,” Head Coach Vic Fangio said on Friday. “We’ll see how [Michael] Ojemudia did tonight. We’ll see how Davontae [Harris] did, [De’Vante] Bausby did, Duke [Dawson Jr.] did. We’ll make a decision by next Tuesday which way we’re going to go the first week.”
Instead, it would seem Devontae Harris, rookie Michael Ojemudia, and Duke Dawns are the guys that Vic Fangio is going to target for the inital 53-man roster. Holder is a strong practice squad candidate as well.
