The Denver Broncos have waived another wide receiver with Fred Brown getting released from the team on Saturday. He was solid on special teams, but the wide receiver room is just too crowded with the addition of so many rookies from the 2020 NFL Draft.
Brown, 26, went undrafted in 2017 and has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, and the Broncos in his four seasons.
Additionally, the team will move on from offensive tackle Jake Rodgers. He started in Week 17, but will likely be looked at for the 16-man practice squad this season. Rogers, 28, was a seventh-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He has since spent time with a total of eight teams since coming into the league.
Denver also released linebacker Malik Carney who they had picked up last November and wide receiver Cody White who spent a few weeks with the Broncos in training camp.
