The Green Bay Packers (13-3) are fresh off their playoff Bye as they host the Los Angeles Rams (11-6) in the NFC Divisional Round of the 2021 NFL Playoffs. The winner will advance to the NFC Championship Game.
Game preview
As a fantasy football champion in 2020, I obviously drafted Aaron Rodgers in the sixth round as the main reason why I own that title this year. He has had an MVP-type year with 48 touchdown passes and leading the Pack to 13 wins and the number one overall seed.
However, he is facing the number one pass defense in the NFL in the Rams this week. Rodgers has a playoff history against number one pass defenses. He lost both games, one against the 2014 Seattle Seahawks and the other last year against the San Francisco 49ers. Both were in the NFC Championship Game.
If Rodgers can guide his team to touchdowns like he has all season, then the Rams are unlikely to keep pace. As good as their defense has been, their offense has been more inconsistent. A low scoring affair will keep this game in question to the very end.
