The Cleveland Browns (12-5) are the only team to make the 2020 playoffs with a negative net point margin (-11). Yes, even the Washington Football Team finished with a positive net point margin. What that means is the Browns win a lot of close games.
Game preview
In the Kansas City Chiefs (14-2) they will find the NFL’s strongest foe and best record in the NFL. They are defending Super Bowl champions to boot.
Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense has shown a tenacity to keep games close and winning most of those close games. The same can be said of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in 2020. The Chiefs had their fair share of blowout wins, but they also have quite a record of winning close games - especially down the stretch. Since Week 9, the Chiefs are 7-0 in games decided by one score or less. That is an impressive streak.
The winner will take on the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game next week.
