Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com released his first NFL Mock Draft of 2021. He went quarterback with three of the first four picks and four total quarterbacks went off the board before the Denver Broncos made their selection at ninth overall.
With so many quarterbacks going early, that left new Broncos General Manager George Paton with a lot of highly talented position players to choose from here in Jeremiah’s mock. Jeremiah decided the most logical choice was a scheme fit at cornerback for Vic Fangio’s defense in Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley.
Pick 9: Denver Broncos
Caleb Farley - CB
School: Virginia Tech | Year: Junior (RS)I think Farley is incredibly talented and he fills a need for Vic Fangio’s defense.
Farley was the second defensive player off the board at this point with Patrick Surtain being the first. That means Denver got its choice of defensive players to choose from here. I love the pick too. It addresses the Broncos biggest question mark on defense, especially with news that team is likely to move on from A.J. Bouye this offseason.
What do you think of this mock, Broncos Country?
