Who should the Broncos target in free agency and the draft?

Ryan Edwards and Ben Allbright talk with George Chahrouri about the Denver Broncos free agency and NFL draft needs on Broncos Country Tonight.

Pro Football Focus Analyst George Chahrouri was interviewed by Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright on Broncos Country Tonight on Thursday and they discussed the Denver Broncos options heading into free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft.

Beginning with the NFL Draft, Chahrouri mentioned Caleb Farley as a guy Denver should be giving a hard look at with that ninth overall pick. The other position that PFF identified as one of the Broncos biggest needs was the interior offensive line, which is a position group we just discussed on MHR and noted that Denver is pretty set. Chahrouri sort of contradicted PFF’s analysis there noting that the position group is young and likely to get better, so he wouldn’t target anything more than a low cost free agent to boost the depth there.

The interview centered around the predictable conversation on quarterbacks to start, but Chahrouri threw some cold water on Matthew Stafford. He has upside, but his negatively graded throws were quite high last season. I’d have to agree with that cold water assessment as well. If the Broncos trade for Stafford, I won’t instantly think this team is a playoff contender, but I would feel like they marginally improved the position.

You can catch Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Allbright on Broncos Country Tonight every weeknight from 7pm to 11pm on KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
