With the Washington Football Team defeating the tanking Philadelphia Eagles to wrap up the NFC East and conclude the 2020 NFL regular season, the Broncos spot in the first round of April’s NFL Draft has been decided. The Broncos will have the 9th overall selection.
We have the ninth-overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

With the Broncos picking 9th, they are most likely out of the top quarterback debate unless one or two decide to fall, but that’s probably unlikely with the teams picking ahead of the Broncos. Also, the team seems content with rolling with Drew Lock and likely a veteran next season so that is what it is.
I’m expecting the Broncos to go defense with this pick. They have the offensive side of the ball pretty much-taken care of, so defense it is. Some names to keep an eye on are Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, cornerbacks Patrick Surtain II from Alabama, and Caleb Farley from Virginia Tech. Michigan defensive lineman/pass rusher Kwity Paye is another name to keep an eye on as well as Miami edge rusher Gregory Rousseau.
We will dive in deeper on these prospects as we move forward into the offseason and some other names will likely rise and drop from this ranking as well.
So get the first-round mock drafts ready because the Broncos will be picking 9th. It is early, but who do you want the Broncos to take or what positions do you want them to address?
