Broncos General Manager search 2021: Everything we know

In a surprising shake up in the front office, the Denver Broncos have elevated John Elway into a non-GM role. He is still the President of Football Operations, but he will no longer have full control of the day-to-day roster decisions.

Joe Ellis announced that he, Elway, Vic Fangio and head PR man Patrick Smyth will be involved in the interview and hiring process.

“Vic, John and I will be the active participants,” Ellis said. “Since we’re all over the age of 60, we’ll need an active notetaker, and that’ll probably be Patrick Smyth to help us out. That’ll be it.”
