Broncos signing WR John Brown to practice squad

It looks like the Denver Broncos will be signing wide receiver John Brown to help fill out the injury-riddled position group.

The Denver Broncos have been losing wide receivers to injury like crazy to start the season. A few weeks ago they signed David Moore, but he made much of an impact. On Tuesday, the Broncos reportedly signed John Brown to add more depth overall.

Brown, 31, has been a free agent this season after the Las Vegas Raiders released him after training camp. Brown has been a deep threat for much of his career with a career yards per reception of 14.8 and 30 touchdowns. He has two 1,000 yard receiving seasons, but his production has been marred by injury.

The Broncos will sign Brown to the practice squad and in a corresponding move ILB Avery Williamson terminated his practice squad contract with Denver so he could sign onto the Tennessee Titans 53-man roster and Denver also released WR Josh Malone from the practice squad.
