2021 NFL Power Rankings: Week 8

The top eight teams are beginning to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

Despite a dismal Week 7 for the Denver Broncos, they actually moved up a couple of spots by virtue of other teams looking even worse than they did on Thursday. Even so, at 22 they are nowhere near playoff discussions.

In fact, I see the Top 8 teams as being the true contenders for 2021 with the next four teams having still more to prove before they can join those ranks. It is an NFC-type year and I do think the eventual Super Bowl champion will again come from that conference. AFC contenders just have too many questions right now.

The most complete AFC team is the Tennessee Titans who just delivered blows to the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. However, I see five complete teams in the NFC and all five rank above the Titans right now. It’s going to be interesting to see how this race continues to play out through the middle part of the season.

Here are you full Week 8 power rankings.
