The Denver Broncos (3-4) are spiraling over the last month and desperate to get things back on track in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team (2-5). When asked about the sense of urgency is different this week, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater described a different state of mind in the locker room this week over past weeks.
“It’s hard to explain,” Bridgewater said. “It’s really just an energy thing and a vibe thing. When you’re out here, you sense that guys have something to prove, and guys have a chip on their shoulder. It’s not that feeling of, ‘Alright, yeah. We say we’ve got to have this urgency. Let’s just start fast.’ You sense it, whether it’s in the meetings, or if guys are clearing the locker room five minutes early before meetings. Things like that [are] those small things that are going to help us when it comes to playing on the football field.”
Let’s hope Bridgewater has a good pulse on the Broncos’ mindset right now, because a win this week is vital to keeping their hopes for any kind of run in 2021 alive. With WFT down a starting quarterback and a defense that hasn’t played well this season, this might be their last best shot to get back on track after that 3-0 start to the season.
Kickoff is set for 2:25 p.m. Mile High time on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
