The Denver Broncos have ruled defensive lineman Mike Purcell out for Sunday, which is not going to be a good thing for the run defense. Head coach Vic Fangio also said newly added linebacker Kenny Young will have a role, but it didn’t sound like he would be ready to start every down. That leaves Von Miller who is a huge question mark having not practiced all week. That’s a lot of issues on defense where the team is still reeling from getting run over in Cleveland last week.
Offensively, we were hoping to see Jerry Jeudy make his return to the lineup. However, he was held out of practice on Friday and is dealing with some soreness. If he does play, we can probably expect it to be in a reduced manner.
“He experienced some soreness after working the last few days, so we took the conservative route,” Fangio said of Jeudy. “[We] gave him a rest day and a full rehab day rather than be out here but we’re still optimistic for him.”
The Washington Football Team isn’t much better off with a plethora of players ruled out and/or questionable for Sunday. However, two important names are back and a full go with both wide receiver Terry McLaurin and tight end Ricky Seals-Jones healthy and full participants in practice on Friday.
Here is your full Friday practice participation report for both teams.
