Broncos trade rookie CB Kary Vincent Jr. to Eagles

The Denver Broncos have traded one of their 2021 NFL Draft selections for a future 2022 NFL Draft pick.

Just before the NFL trade deadline, the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms for a trade involving the Broncos’ former-seventh round 2021 NFL Draft pick Kary Vincent Jr. in exchange for a sixth-round 2022 NFL Draft selection.

Vincent has been inactive all season, so Denver wasn’t getting much production from him on the field. That makes this trade a fairly good deal. Denver spent a seventh rounder on Vincent and received a sixth rounder in exchange.

The move likely signals the team is close to getting back Michael Ojemudia who hurt his hamstring in August, while Essang Bassey is also nearing a return from an ACL tear late last season. Head coach Vic Fangio was asked about both players on Monday and he alluded that both will likely return to practice this week.

Both will be needed as it was also reported that cornerback Bryce Callahan will be heading to short-term injured reserve with a knee injury. He’ll be out a few weeks.

All in all, this looks like a good low-end trade for the Broncos who now have 11 total draft picks heading into next season.
