Well it’s finally here... the Super Bowl few of us give a damn about. The hated AFC West rival in the Kansas City Chiefs against the hated 20-year AFC dominating Tom Brady who is now a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Whooptie freaking do!
Game preview
If you had to root for anyone in this game, it’s probably got to be Brady and the Bucs. I tend to follow the ethos of “anyone but our rivals” in the Super Bowl. Brady will retire one day, the Chiefs will always be the Denver Broncos rival.
Unfortunately, I fully expect Patrick Mahomes to do his thing and for Tom Brady’s age to finally show up. The only chance the Bucs really have is for their defense to return to their early season dominance. If they can keep Mahomes and the Chiefs offense off balance and the score lower in the 20s or low 30s, then anything could happen late when Tom Brady is the other quarterback.
