It was announced earlier this evening that the Chicago Bears have released All-Pro cornerback Kyle Fuller and instantly making him one of the top players available in free agency.
The #Bears are releasing veteran CB Kyle Fuller, sources say, a cap casualty. In a tough 2021 offseason, this is Chicago’s only cut due to cap space. A former All-Pro corner now hits the market.

Fuller was a cap casualty for the Bears and this move could become a major move for the Denver Broncos.
He’s a 5-11, 194-pound cornerback who has played all seven of his NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears. During those seven seasons, Fuller totaled 377 tackles, 82 pass deflections, and 19 interceptions. This past season, Fuller totaled 62 tackles, 8 pass deflections, and 1 interception.
Now, with the Broncos still in the market for a cornerback, could the former Bear who excelled under Vic Fangio and Ed Donatell reunite with them in Denver? I sure hope so.

Adding Fuller, who can be a legitimate number one corner, and pairing him recently signed Ronald Darby on the outside with Bryce Callahan focusing more on the slot could give the Broncos one damn good secondary.
This hypothetical signing would also free up the Broncos' 9th overall selection to be something other than a cornerback. It would free them up to go after a quarterback, trade back to get picks, get a top ILB prospect, add another edge rusher, draft one of the top safeties, and so on.
Vic Fangio is gonna go get Kyle Fuller and really be a QB away

Keep in mind, the Broncos did try to sign Michael Davis away from the Chargers in the opening hours of the legal tampering period, so they could still aggressively target a cornerback. Davis ultimately ending up signing for $8M per year, so adding a few more million to get Fuller in a Broncos uniform shouldn’t be a deal-breaker.
I really want this signing to happen. It makes a ton of sense for both parties. The Broncos need another corner, Fuller had his best seasons with Fangio/Donatell and the familiarity would benefit both parties. It just makes too much sense.
UPDATE
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Broncos are expected to make a strong push for cornerback Kyle Fuller.
The #Broncos are expected to make a strong push for CB Kyle Fuller once his release is official, sources say. Vic Fangio coached him with the #Bears, while George Paton had a close look at him annually while with the #Vikings.
