NFL Network’s lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah has released his one and only mock draft prior to the start of the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In this mock, Jeremiah has the Broncos trading up for Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

The Broncos acquired Teddy Bridgewater already, but he is a bridge quarterback at best for them so adding FIelds gives them their quarterback of the future and potential franchise quarterback.
Here’s Jeremiah’s reasoning behind his selection of Fields for the Broncos.
There are a lot of rumblings about the Broncos’ interest in Fields, even after the trade to acquire Teddy Bridgewater. It would make sense for them to position themselves ahead of the Panthers to make sure they get him.
I would personally love this selection because I think Fields can be an elite quarterback in the NFL, especially in Denver with their weapons. I wouldn’t rule out Trey Lance here, but Fields is the one Jeremiah has selected.
This would likely spell the end of Drew Lock’s time in Denver if they trade up for Fields after already trading for Teddy Bridgewater.
The first round is less than 24-hours away and we’ll finally get our answer to this question.
