There was all sorts of buzz around the Denver Broncos leading up to their first round pick. Most of it involved a potential trade with the Green Bay Packers for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, it was not to be and despite having the chance to select Justin Fields, General Manager George Paton went defense picking up arguably the best cornerback in the draft in Alabama’s Patrick Surtain II.
If you are unfamiliar with Surtain the player, take a few minutes out of your day today and watch the videos posted here. You will come away a believer and excited about the Broncos future at secondary.
The quarterback question will just have to wait another day. With Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock on the roster to battle things out, we at least know the defense is going to keep these games close in 2021.
