The Denver Broncos have selected Wisconsin Whitewater offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz with their 98th overall selection in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Meinerz was a star at the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl. Nicknamed “The Gut”, Meinerz had his 2020 season cancelled due to COVID and spent the year training for the NFL Draft. From punching logs to roughing up players at the Senior Bowl, the Broncos seem to have landed a starter with this pick.
Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network had this to say about Meinerz.
Meinerz was a dominant small-school blocker who took it to another level at the Senior Bowl and dominated every day of practice. He’s a true power gap lineman who can line up at guard or center, and Meinerz comes with a large upside. He’s a determined prospect who I believe will be starting in the NFL by the end of his rookie season.
