The Denver Broncos have selected Texas safety Caden Sterns with their 152nd overall selection in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

At his Texas pro day, Sterns ran a 4.40 second 40-yard dash along with a 42-inch vertical leap. He is another super athletic guy with a 9.59 RAS. Look for him to contribute immediately on special teams.
In three seasons at Texas, Sterns totaled 173 tackles in 29 games with 5 interceptions and eight pass defensed. His draft status fell a bit off due to injury concerns that kept him from playing in more than a few games over his final two seasons after an outstanding freshman campaign.
Denver obviously sees the potential for playmaking ability due to Stern’s size and aggressiveness. What do you think of the Denver Broncos decision to go with Stern with their first pick on Day 3 of the 2021 NFL Draft?
