According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, she continues to hear that the Denver Broncos are going to be the team “most interested” in acquiring quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers.
"The Denver Broncos continue to be the team I hear that are going to be the most interested [in Aaron Rodgers], and are going to put the most in front of the Green Bay Packers to try to make this trade go down."

I know there is a small vocal minority who generally hate quarterback posts, but anytime there’s a credible report linking the Broncos to Aaron freakin Rodgers, it’s going to be covered.
The Broncos have consistently been linked as the favorite for Rodgers from the start. With the situation between Green Bay and Rodgers looking unrepairable, this potential blockbuster is seeming more likely as the days go on.
It still seems unbelievable and unlikely, but there is plenty of smoke out there and it’s hard to ignore.
.@diannaESPN on where the Packers stand: “The sentiment there and the feeling I get at this point is deflated. They are absolutely deflated at this point … they know this is up to a very strong, stubborn QB named Aaron Rodgers who is going to do what Aaron Rodgers wants to do." https://t.co/IfKv8T9Q68

It seems like General Manager George Paton is going to do his best to acquire Aaron Rodgers. He said all offseason that he will look to add competition to the position and that if an elite option becomes available, the Broncos would be interested. We saw this to a lesser extent with Matthew Stafford, they were expected to be players for Deshaun Watson and now appear to be the frontrunners for Aaron Rodgers.
This is likely why the Broncos surprisingly passed on Justin Fields and Mac Jones at 9th overall. They must have felt confident in their chances of potentially acquiring Rodgers down the road. Multiple local Broncos reporters have stressed that these talks are long from over and that the June 2nd date is a time period to watch for a potential deal to go down.
So we shall see how this plays out and I am sure we are far from done with reports and rumors of this potential marriage between Aaron Rodgers and the Broncos.
