Broncos to begin training camp relatively healthy

The Denver Broncos will start training camp with a relatively healthy roster. The exceptions being Essang Bassey, Duke Dawson Jr., and Baron Browning who were all placed on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

As noted by Aric DiLalla above, the names absent from the PUP list is what we should be excited about. We already knew Courtland Sutton was on his way back, but the news that Albert Okwuegbunam and Mike Purcell were both ready to go was well received as well.

The story of this year’s training camp will once again be quarterback. It seems we start a new season with the same style quarterback competition. In 2016 and 2017, it was the Trevor Siemian/Paxton Lynch battle. They had a clear cut starter in 2018 in Case Keenum, then drafted Drew Lock in 2019 bringing in Joe Flacco to hold down the fort there.

After a pretty bad season from Lock in 2020, the Broncos brought in another veteran in Teddy Bridgewater to compete for the starting job and so here we are with our quarterback story for 2021.

Broncos camp opens up on Wednesday July 28th. The full public Broncos camp schedule is below if you are in the area and would like to check things out.
