With no Aaron Rodgers coming to save the day for the Broncos, we all have to settle with the fact that we’re left with Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater for our QBs this season.
That’s a pretty sobering thought, to be honest, for this Broncos fan. Each year that we’ve gotten further and further away from our magical 2015 NFL season, reality has been settling in more and more.
The Broncos don’t have a QB, and this means that they don’t really have anything other than a puncher’s chance at making the playoffs.
Normally, this is the time of year where my fan excitement is heating up to a boil...hope springs eternal and all of that.
But with the prospect of my team’s offense led by the likes of Lock (a likely second round bust) or Bridgewater (an average NFL QB at best), there’s just not a lot to get excited about.
The only thing I’m left with is the idea that this team’s defense can mimic the lightning in a bottle we got in 2015 and propel this lackluster offense into the postseason.
What about the rest of my brothers and sisters out there in Broncos Country? Are you drinking the Kool-aid on Lock? Does Bridgewater give you the hope that this offense can at least average 23 points a game? Hit up the comments and let me know how you are feeling as we finally get close to real football happening.
