Day 2 of Denver Broncos training camp is in the books with Teddy Bridgewater coming away the clear winner over Drew Lock. Lock was very inconsistent early on, but finished strong, while Bridgewater had a strong practice session from start to finish.
The real story behind the quarterback competition is just how strong this dynamic young offense is shaping up to be. In his sophomore season, Jerry Jeudy is one player in particular to watch. He has been turning heads already and has set some lofty goals for himself this season.
“I’ve been working hard this offseason just to have a great year this year,” Juedy said on Thursday. “So, I feel comfortable in all the hard work I put in this offseason to be able to come this year and do what I do.”
A big part of how Jeudy’s second season goes will play off of how well Courtland Sutton comes back from a season ending injury last year. With Sutton taking up a lot of attention, the field should open up nicely for Jeudy.
“It’s always good to have Courtland out there,” Juedy said. “He’s a big time receiver so having him on the other side makes the defense focus on him a lot more too. Having him out there is real big.”
I know we said this last year, but no matter who is quarterback this offense should be lighting up the scoreboard this season.
