Day 3 of Denver Broncos training camp is in the books and the biggest news of the day had nothing to do with quarterbacks. Mike Purcell went down early on in practice and was able to hobble off under his own power.
“He hurt his ankle,” Head Coach Vic Fangio said, “The early prognosis is it’s just a sprain, but we’ll see.”
As for quarterbacks, Drew Lock had himself a fine day and clearly won the day over Teddy Bridgewater. Teddy was consistent, but checked down far too often while Lock hit the big plays down the field.
After three days, Fangio doesn’t think either quarterback has gained any sort of upper hand in this competition just yet.
“They’ve been pretty consistent, both of them. I see no separation, if that’s what you’re asking.”
