Competition for the Denver Broncos starting quarterback job has been essentially even through all of training camp. Head Coach Vic Fangio said there hasn’t been significant separation between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater. That could be why he gave Lock the nod to start in the first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings this week.

Teddy Bridgewater will start against Seattle.
Given the lack of separation though, Bridgewater will get his chance to start in the second preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Looking back at camp, it had looked like Bridgewater was beginning to pull away with the job, but then they had that scrimmage this weekend. Drew Lock tore the field apart and whatever distance Bridgewater had was erased by Lock’s big day there.
Personally, I was leaning Bridgewater before Saturday given how things were going. Lock’s performance with the pads on in a scrimmage situation really put me back on the fence. I think we’ll all know a lot more seeing both quarterbacks start in the next two preseason games.
For now, let’s make our best guess. Who is going to win this job?
