Bradley Chubb will start for the Denver Broncos at ROLB...but will he stay healthy this year?

Bradley Chubb has shown a high level of skill since getting drafted by the Denver Broncos. His only hitch has been staying healthy. Is this the season where he and Von make a real statement?

#55 Bradley Chubb

Age: 25 Height: 6’4” Weight: 275lbs

College: North Carolina State

The Good

Since coming into the league, Chubb has shown he has all of the tools you want in a OLB. He’s an athletic freak. He’s got technique. He’s got power. He’s got speed around the end as well.

In watching tape of Chubb both from college and in his short time in the NFL, I’ve always been impressed with how well he executes moves from a leverage and hand-fighting perspective.

In a shortened season being keyed on as the primary pass rusher, Chubb got 7.5 sacks in 2020. That’s on the low end of what we should expect from a player of his caliber.

He’s not just a one-trick pony either. Chubb is consistently solid against the run and knows how to get upfield for TFLs on his side of the formation.

He’s shown the potential to be a potent NFL pass rusher that instantly makes a defense better.

The Bad

The only knock on Chubb is his health. He’s injured his left knee twice now. Add to it his recent surgery on his ankle and you have a guy whose durability has to be in question for the long term.

Final Word

This really needs to be the year that both Von Miller and Bradley Chubb get back on track with staying healthy. The defense is loaded and Chubb is a huge part of its potential dominance for the 2021 NFL season.
