Broncos Training Camp: Day 6 live updates

The Denver Broncos will have their first padded practice today. Here are your live updates from Day 6 of Broncos camp.

Today is a big day as the Denver Broncos will put on pads for the first time in training camp. Padded practices should also step up the competition at quarterback as well.

The competition between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater has been strong, but I’ve heard from people there that we probably shouldn’t expect any breakout seasons at the position regardless of who wins the job. If true, I sure hope the Broncos defense is as good as advertised in 2021.

It’s also still early. With the first padded practice, we should get a much better glimpse of who might be pulling away with it. Head Coach Vic Fangio was asked and he insisted the competition is dead even.

“It’s still even-steven. There’s been no separation. We’re going to kind of keep the rotation these next three days the same as it [has] been.”

As a fan, I really hope we begin to see one guy separate. I think it could hurt the offense as a whole if reps are being split all the way up to Week 1.
