According to multiple reports, the Broncos have waived rookie sixth-round pick, wide receiver, Seth Williams as the team trims down their roster to 53 players.
The #Broncos are waiving rookie WR Seth Williams, source said. A bit of a surprise as the sixth-round pick from Auburn now heads to waivers.

The big 6’2”, 211-pound receiver out of Auburn was selected by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He seemed like a potential roster fit because of his developmental qualities but now will have to pass through waivers unclaimed to land on the Broncos 16-man practice squad.
I think those chances are fairly good for both parties. We often overvalue the players waived and think “NO WAY HE GETS THROUGH” before they eventually go unclaimed. However, this was the first real “surprise” of the cuts thus far.
With Tyrie Cleveland also being waived, it appears that Trinity Benson and returner Diontae Spencer have both made the squad, at least for now. Cleveland and Williams were the two biggest competitions for both, so I think we can pencil these two in behind Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and K.J. Hamler.
