Broncos will place RB Mike Boone on IR once 53-man roster is set

The Denver Broncos are working their roster down to the final 53. One of those decisions will involve injured players like running back Mike Boone and cornerback Michael Ojemudia. The first report is that the team intends to keep Boone on the final-53 and then send him to injured reserve with a designation to return.

Boone will count against the roster at the deadline today, but then will be on IR until at least Week 3. He can return after that. We should expect another update this morning on Ojemudia’s status with the team as well.
