The Denver Broncos kick off the 2021 NFL season on the road against the New York Giants. While Denver is a slight road favorite, this will not be a cakewalk for a team struggling to figure out how to win games again.
Game preview
The biggest news that came out over the weekend was that Giants running back Saquon Barkley has been cleared to play in this game. Containing him will now be a top priority for the Broncos defense. Daniel Jones doesn’t scare me, but if they allow him to play off a strong rushing attack it would become a problem for Denver.
On the offensive side of the ball, we will hope to see Teddy Bridgewater lead that unit to an efficient outing with some good drives leading to touchdowns. Road games tend to be more difficult on offenses, but I’d still like to see them put up 24+ here. That 24 point mark has mostly alluded the Broncos offense over the last couple of seasons.
