Ryan O’Halloran of The Denver Post was the first to report that the Denver Broncos will be placing wide receiver Jerry Jeudy on injured reserve on Tuesday. He suffered a high ankle sprain that looked a lot worse when it happened and did require him to be carted off the field.

Ultimately, the tests came back negative for serious damage, but a high ankle sprain tends to nag players. With this move, Jeudy will at least be focused on recovery and rehab for the next three weeks and then will be monitored for potentially returning the lineup on a week by week basis.
Despite being knocked out of the game in the third quarter, Jeudy still finished the Broncos leading wide receiver against the New York Giants with six catches for 72 yards. They will need him back this season if Denver is going to make a serious push for the playoffs in 2021.
