It is just a reality in the NFL that injuries are going to happen. Football is a violent sport no matter how many rules you slap in place to create more safety for its players.

That is why a team gets to have a larger number of roster spots than needed going into the season.

And looking on the bright side, injuries create a superb opportunity for young players to get their coach’s attention.

The Broncos need guys like K.J. Hamler, Tim Patrick, and Patrick Surtain II to step up when they lose starters with the high talent levels of Ronald Darby and Jerry Jeudy.

But looking at it from a different angle, this is a big-time opportunity for players that are 2nd and 3rd on their respective depth charts to rent some space in the Broncos coaching staff’s heads. Big plays, consistently good snaps, and great effort on the field can really solidify a players’ value in the eyes of not only our coaches but the other coaches in the NFL that will be seeing them on film more than usual.
