This game will be an important test for the Broncos. The Texans, under C.J. Stroud, have the third-best passing yards per attempt in the NFL. Denver has shown some stress in limiting quarterbacks making big plays. The good news for the Broncos defense is that the Texans have the fourth-worst rushing attack averaging just 3.7 yards per carry.
The other big test will be for Denver’s offense. The Texans have the third-best rush defense, so it really is going down to strength vs. strength in all facets. Houston’s pass defense is pretty suspect, so Russell Wilson will need to make some plays in the passing game next week. This matchup should be a very good game overall and the Broncos absolutely must win this game to keep themselves firmly in the mix in the AFC playoff picture.
