NFL: Denver Broncos at Houston Texans Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos season is likely on the line this week when they play the Los Angeles Chargers today. Win this game and they remain in the thick of the AFC playoff picture, lose and their chances dwindle to needing a whole lot of help.

Game Preview

We received a bit of good news for Denver as Adam Schefter reported that running back Samaje Perine who was questionable for this game will, in fact, play. While he isn’t the starter, Perine has found a significant role in the two-minute offense with Russell Wilson. He consistently finds ways to get open for the dump off if the deeper throw isn’t there for Russ.

This game will likely be a close one as division games tend to be that way. These teams know each other well and it will likely come down to whoever has the ball last, which makes Perine’s availability a bigger deal than people might realize. This is a critical must-win game for Denver, so getting all their guys on the field will be important.

Here’s how to watch.

Broncos-Chargers Betting Odds

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Broncos opened 3-point underdogs on the road against the Chargers. However, that line shifted a bit by the middle of the week to a 2.5-point edge for Los Angeles and that is where it still stands today. The over/under stands at 44 for this game.

Fan Sentiment

Fan Confidence dropped from a season-high 97% last week to, a still respectable, 86% this week after the team dropped a game last week to the Houston Texans. Our survey also indicated that 79% of Broncos fans think they will bounce back today against the Chargers. That would be very good.
