Good morning, Broncos Country.

It has been rather silent on the news front for the Denver Broncos this week, but the team did make one move yesterday worth noting.

Undrafted rookie free agent offensive tackle Alex Palczewski, who was a bright spot during training camp and the preseason, has been designated to return from injured reserve. He suffered a hand injury prior to the beginning of the season. With this move, he potentially has a shot at seeing some regular season reps in his first year in the National Football League.

In my opinion, he was one of the most impressive rookie players the Broncos drafted or signed this past offseason with his preseason and camp performance. He definitely showed a lot of promise. At the very least, Palczewksi should wind up being a solid swing tackle for the franchise, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he earns starting reps down the road. First-year offensive line coach Zach Strief has done a tremendous job with Denver’s offensive line and they have been one of the better units in the league in pass protection and run blocking. I think he definitely can help get the most out of the former Illinois offensive trench stalwart.

As always, thanks for reading. Here are some articles for you to enjoy for today’s edition of Horse Tracks.
