The Denver Broncos are among the league leaders in takeaways this season and if you look at the top and bottom you will notice that teams with winning records tend to take the ball away a lot and the teams that don’t are often teams looking at a Top 5 pick in the NFL Draft.
Denver’s 1-5 start was disastrous, but then they started generating an insane volume of turnovers that powered them to winning six out of seven games before faltering on the road against the Detroit Lions last week. At 7-7, they are still in good position to challenge for a playoff spot but must take care of business by winning their three remaining games.
All three of their remaining opponents are prone to turning the ball over and that is something the Broncos defense must feast on to help their push into the NFL playoffs next month.
